Welcome, and thank you for visiting our website on our proposals for Thrislington Quarry.

This website has been created to share our proposals to extract the remaining block of sand within the base of Thrislington Quarry (purple area on plan).

We had a public consultation on these proposals between 8 and 21 November. This included a public exhibition at West Cornforth Community Centre on Wednesday 10 November 2021. The consultation is now closed, and we are no longer accepting feedback. However, we will keep this website live so you can still view the proposals.

We will shortly be submitting an application to Durham County Council. Once the application has been submitted you will also have a chance to provide formal representations directly to the Council.
